Legrado Uterino ¿Por qué se hace un legrado?

El legrado Uterino ò la Dilatación Y curetaje  es un procedimiento quirúrgico empleado por los especialistas, este procedimiento puede servir para diagnosticar algún tejido uterino que necesite ser extraído para analizar el tejido  o bien para una limpieza uterina por un aborto espontáneo o programado.

¿Cómo se realiza la Dilatación y Curetaje ?

El legrado se realiza mediante el raspado del útero para limpiar el tejido que se encuentra en el endometrio , realizando el curetaje en las paredes uterinas para retirar el tejido del endometrio o para extraer el tejido después de un aborto espontáneo o programado.

El legrado uterino hemostático se realiza cuando una mujer tiene sangrados uterinos abundantes, esto puede ayudar a estimular el útero y que este se contraiga y disminuya el sangrado, también permite analizar el tejido extraído del útero .

La tecnica del legrado consiste en :

  • Dilatación : Una vez que la paciente en quirófano esta aseada quirúrgicamente y con un espejo vaginal colocado, el medico comenzara con a dilatación del cuello uterino para poder entrar dentro del utero.
  • Curetaje : Para realizar el curetaje es necesario usar una legra, por medio de esta se extrae el tejido uterino.

¿Cuánto tiempo se tarda en hacer un legrado?

Este procedimiento no se lleva más de 15 a 20 minutos en quirófano, se realiza de forma vaginal. Se realiza bajo anestesia y en a mayoría de los casos este procedimiento se realiza en un hospital general.

¿Cuáles son los riesgos de realizar un legrado?

El legrado a igual que cualquier procedimiento quirúrgico tiene riesgos, mismos que se disminuyen al contar con protocolos de atención segura, los riesgos relacionados a este procedimiento son:

  • Alergias
  • Sangrado Uterino o Atonia Uterina
  • Aborto incompleto
  • Punción del Utero

¿Cuáles son los cuidados después del legrado ?

Después de este procedimiento es posible que la mujer llegue a tener un sangrado vaginal leve días posteriores debido a la intervención, también puede llegar a sentir algunas molestias como dolor abdominal o pélvico, se recomienda estar en reposo y tomar algún analgésico para aliviar el dolor.

La recuperación después de un legrado es muy rápida, pueden continuar con su estilo de vida normal y sus actividades habituales al día siguiente.

  • Abstinencia sexual durante dos semanas después del procedimiento
  • Evitar realizar ejercicio físico pesado
  • No utilizar tampones
  • No realizarse duchas vaginales o aplicarse pomadas

¿Cuándo llegara mi menstruación después de un legrado?

Tu siguiente periodo presentará después de 30 a 40 días de la intervención, es posible tener un embarazo de inmediato , por lo que si no es tu deseo buscar un embarazo en este momento, te recomendamos iniciar un anticonceptivo en tu siguiente periodo menstrual.
